Advising clients on options for implementation, providing first cost estimates for buildings and civil engineering projects, and assisting as needed to complete projects.

 Client representative responsible for :

          - Briefing consultants or design/build contractors. 

          - Obtaining estimates and tender prices.

          - Providing and updating budgets and programs during construction. 

         - Negotiating final contract completion times and costs.

Assistance in the formulation of building programs, including advice on commercial risks and benefits, methods of implementation, contract documentation and cost planning. 

Project management to the degree agreed with the client including advice on the team required to implement the project.

Peer review of engineering proposals and documentation, problem solving and trouble shooting.

Initial assessments of proposed building sites or construction projects, including advice on Resource Consents in accordance with the District Plan of the relevant Local Authority.

Inspections and reports on failures of buildings, industrial structures, and civil engineering works.
 
Inspections, valuations and reports on existing buildings for owners, interested purchasers, insurance companies or financiers.

Inspection of buildings in order to assess their adequacy and suitability for intended purpose, together with advice on strengthening options necessary to meet current seismic codes.
 
Advice on industrial plant layouts or relocation.

Advice on contractual problems for engineering and construction projects, including dispute resolution and arbitration.
